Simmons Lands $1.8 Million Grant

The Simmons School of Social Work secured a $1.8 million federal grant in September that will help prepare students for inter-professional placements with vulnerable populations in urban and rural medically underserved areas. The highly competitive grant from the Health Resources & Services Administration (part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) will enable Simmons to further expand its Behavioral Health Workforce Initiative and elevate its work in the field of behavioral health and primary care by providing project support and stipends over four years for 116 advanced Master of Social Work students.
